We support the forest conservation project, which protects the 90,000-hectare forest in Pará, Brazil. Commercial deforestation is prohibited there, which is why alternative sources of income are being created for the 94 resident families. One example of this is the trade of the açaí fruit. The project is not only certified with the verified carbon standard, but also with the social carbon standard, as the project promotes development in one of the poorest regions in northeastern Brazil.
